Strongbow Gold Apple Cider Martini

(11.3% ABV) Calories per serving: 210

1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon Anise simple syrup
1½ oz. vodka
5 oz. Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider 

For Anise Simple Syrup:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
2 whole stars of anise

To make the Anise Simple Syrup:
Put all ingredients in a small pot & cook until sugar dissolves. Set aside until cool.

In a shaker filled with ice, mix the martini ingredients and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a floating star anise on top.

Strongbow Gold Apple Poached Pears

2 bottles Strongbow Artisanal Blend Hard Cider
1 cup apple cider
½ cup dark brown sugar
1 strip lemon zest, about 2” long
3 stars of anise
2 cinnamon sticks
½ teaspoon Szechuan (or Sichuan) peppercorns
¼ teaspoon salt
4 ripe but firm bosc pears

Bring the first seven ingredients to a boil in a medium dutch oven. While this simmers peel the pears, cut each in half lengthwise and remove the seeds with a melon baller. Place the 8 halves into the simmering poaching liquid. Poach for approximately 40 minutes until pears are fork tender. Remove the pears from the poaching liquid and set aside to cool. Continue to cook the spiced cider until it begins to get syrupy, about 25 minutes more. Strain sauce. Serve each guest 1 pear drizzled with sauce and topped with fresh whipped cream. Garnish with toasted, crushed szechuan peppercorns.

Strongbow Gold Apple Shandy With Mint Ice Cubes

3 oz. Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider
3 oz. Lemonade
Frozen Herb Ice cubes
1 lemon for garnish

To make ice cubes place a mint leaf into each ice cube compartment and cover with water. Freeze at least four hours or overnight.  
To make the Shandy, fill a pint glass with mint ice cubes and pour in the lemonade then top with Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider. Enjoy with a slice of lemon.

Strongbow Gold Apple Sage Spritz

1½ oz. Bitter Liquor Aperitif
3 oz. Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider
Fresh apple slices for garnish
Sage sprigs for garnish

In an ice filled rocks glass, combine the liquor with the Strongbow Golden Apple.
Garnish with an apple slice on the rim and a sprig of sage.

Strongbow Gold Apple Cider Slaw

6 Tablespoons mayonnaise
¼ cup whole milk yogurt
3 Tablespoons Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
Pinch of cayenne
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil

½ head Napa Cabbage, sliced into ribbons (about 6 cups)
½ bunch Tuscan Kale, stems removed, thinly sliced (about (3 cups)
1 green apple, halved, core removed, thinly sliced
½ red onion, thinly sliced
¼ cup chopped parsley

In a small bowl, whisk all the dressing ingredients together. In a large bowl, gently toss together all the salad ingredients. Dress the salad 20 minutes before serving. Taste for salt.  

Strongbow Sweater

(ABV: 12.5%) Calories per serving: 147

¾ oz. Apple Brandy
¾ oz. Elderflower Liqueur
1 dash cocktail bitters
3 oz. Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider
Grated nutmeg
Rosemary sprigs 

Stir brandy, elderflower liqueur, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice and strain into a coupe glass.
Top with Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider. Then grate nutmeg on top and use a lighter to char the tips of the rosemary sprigs away from the glass, blow out any flame and place into glass as a garnish.
Serve smoldering.

½ oz. simple syrup
4 rosemary leaves

Lime wedge

In an ice filled shaker, combine the rosemary leaves, tequila, lime juice and simple syrup and shake vigorously. Add the Strongbow Gold Apple Hard Cider and strain into an ice filled glass. Add the rosemary sprig and lime wedge to garnish.
