Yes, Strongbow is made from fermented apple juice. Whilst we only buy the highest quality apple juice, it is a natural product that can have some variance, so colour and acidity and a small amount of natural flavour is rebalanced during blending to achieve consistency. For the majority of our ciders, we use culinary apples, like you would be able to buy in supermarkets. Typical culinary varieties include Braeburn, Jazz, Gala, Granny Smith, Red Delicious and many others. We ensure that only consistently high-quality apple juice is used to make our ciders. In the UK and Belgium, we also use bittersweet cider apple juice in some of our drier Strongbow ciders, which give a different character, due to increased body.
